Remote vs. Virtual: What is the Difference?
**Official Enrollment Due Date: August 14th**
From the CCSD website: "The Parent Enrollment Options Form has closed. If you have not completed the form and would like to, please contact the principal at your child's school to discuss."
Enrollment to Virtual Academy School:
Which is which?
Remote Temporary Learning- Your child will work with teachers from you child's school online.
Virtual Academy- Your child will work with a teacher who may not be from your child's school.
Why is Remote Temporary Learning the better option?
Not only will your child have teachers from his or her school, these will be teachers who personally know your child. Virtual Academy may partner your child with a CCSD teacher, but that teacher may not know you child personally.
What are your options with Remote Temporary Learning?
Remote Temporary Learning will be offered for the 1st quarter (first nine weeks) for elementary and middle school students; 1st semester for high school students
If the virus levels do not decline after the 1st quarter or semester or you are still uncomfortable to send your child back to school, you can request to continue with remote temporary learning.
How do I enroll my child as a remote temporary learning?
If you have not completed the form and would like to, please contact the principal at your child's school to discuss and request your child be a remote temporary learner.
